Kahalu‘u Beach, also on the west side, has three lagoon reefs with waves for all skill levels. Hāpuna Beach in South Kōhala has a short, powerful sand bar break. For advanced surfers, Kōhala Lighthouse has some epic tubes. On the east side, Honoli‘i is a classic for advanced shredders.
