Sand and Surf
Maui boasts some of the best beaches in the world, from the red sands of Kaihalulu Bay in Hāna, the majestic waves of Baldwin and Ho`okipa Beach parks on the north coast, to the enchanting golden sands of Makena and Wailea on the southern shore. Spend the day at any one of the gems, or spend an entire week exploring them all. From secluded rocky coves to vast stretches of sand, the perfect beach is just around the corner.
Life under the water has a lot to offer in Maui, too. Take a charter tour to Molokini Crater, the crescent rim of an extinct volcano that is now fringed with pristine coral reef and some of the most colorful marine life you have ever seen. Snorkel with turtles, SCUBA with large reef fish, and keep your eyes peeled for the larger denizens of the deep who are often seen cruising by. During the winter months, watch the humpback whales lounging in the warm shallows or putting on incredible aerial displays of power and grace, or take an intimate zodiac snorkel tour and join a pod of dolphins in one of the shallow bays for the afternoon. Whether you enjoy windsurfing, kite surfing, parasailing, surfing, boogie boarding, or anything else that involves the ocean, you’ll find that Maui has it all.
Take a scenic drive around the western end of Maui and explore the decadent resort properties of Kaanapali and the Napili coast, then be sure to visit the quaint, historic whaling town of Lahaina. Here you can wander the streets lined with charming boutiques and historical attractions, take a sunset dinner cruise, or simply sample the flavors of the world in one of the many delicious local restaurants.
Beachfront Condos In Maui
Maui’s rugged landscape is dominated by the West Maui Mountains (Mauna Kahalewai) and the awe-inspiring dormant volcano of Haleakala to the east, and both are well worth a visit. No matter where you stay on Maui, a trip to the summit of Haleakala for sunset (or sunrise) is a must. Explore the crater rim and trek to the caldera floor on a network of well-maintained trails where you will see endemic species like the nene goose or the silversword plant, species found nowhere else on Earth. The slopes of the volcano offer quaint towns and artistic enclaves, including a charming lavender farm in Kula. Everyone has a reason to stay at a Maui beach house!
