Explore the best shopping in O’ahu.

Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center

If you’re staying in Waikīkī, you can’t miss this open-air O’ahu shopping extravaganza. It’s one of the largest malls in Hawaiʻi, and it also boasts the biggest parking garage in Waikīkī (which is super important!). You’ll find everything from fun-in-the-sun apparel to fine luxury attire, along with fine dining and hot dog stands. There are live performances of hula and Hawaiian music here six days a week, along with free cultural classes in lei making, lauhala weaving, ukulele, and more.

Ala Moana Shopping Center

You don’t have to be a serious shopper to appreciate the many offerings of Ala Moana (although if you are, you’ll probably want to block off at least one day on your calendar for this one!). The largest open-air shopping center in the world, Ala Moana offers more than 340 shops and restaurants, including four department stores and more than 90 dining options. The experience is rounded out by beautiful landscaping, live hula and ukulele performances, and sculpture art. Ala Moana Center is also the public bus hub of Honolulu, making transportation a breeze from Waikīkī or just about anywhere. Just across the street is Ala Moana Beach Park, in case you need a stroll along the shore to decompress after all that O’ahu shopping excitement.

Waikele Premium Outlets

While it’s a 30-minute drive from Waikīkī, you’ll find that visitors flock to this mall, and for good reason. It’s the only outlet mall in Hawaiʻi, so you can find deals on everything from Adidas to Armani Exchange. With over 50 stores to choose from, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for! Transportation is easily arranged from Waikīkī via Roberts Hawaiʻi shuttle, if you don’t have a rental car.

Aloha Stadium Swap Meet

Finally, if you love to browse for cheap deals, don’t miss the popular Aloha Stadium Swap Meet. Open Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, the swap meet forms a huge circle in the parking lot surrounding the stadium in Pearl City. Make sure you remember where you parked the car, as it’s easy to go around in circles and get lost! The Swap Meet is an amazing place for shopping in O’ahu, you can find souvenirs, vacation clothes, local snacks, and so, so much more.

Whether you prefer air-conditioned luxury shops, or hitting the hot pavement in search of good deals, Oʻahu shopping has the venue for you!
